The Vibrant Conclusion of Bazaar Reef Saudi in Riyadh
The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program, “Reef Saudi,” wrapped up its successful “Bazaar Reef Saudi” event at Roshn Front in Riyadh from March 13 to 21 (Ramadan 13–21).
The bazaar attracted a diverse crowd of visitors, all eager to explore the array of traditional crafts and rural products on display.
Organized with the aim of supporting artisans from various regions in the Kingdom, the event provided a platform to showcase their talents, enhance their marketing opportunities, and promote rural products and handicrafts.
This effort is in line with the overarching goals of the “Reef Saudi” program to uplift small-scale producers and contribute to the development of rural communities.
Attendees at the event were treated to a wide range of traditional crafts such as Sadu weaving, pottery, palm frond weaving, macrame, and wood engraving.
Furthermore, the inclusion of home-based businesses and family-run enterprises added a cultural richness that celebrated Saudi Arabia’s rural heritage.
As 2025 is designated as the Year of Handicrafts in Saudi Arabia, this event underscores the significance of the sector in preserving national identity and boosting the local economy through rural craftsmanship and creativity.
The “Reef Saudi” program also rolled out various initiatives this year, including “Our Winter is Rural,” which showcased success stories and promoted rural tourism destinations across five major regions in the Kingdom.
