The Malaysian Minister Explores KUDU’s Expansion into Malaysia
Malaysian Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Datuk Ewon Benedick, accompanied by Malaysian Ambassador to the Kingdom Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, visited one of the branches of KUDU, a leading Quick Service Restaurant brand in Saudi Arabia.
Stepping into the world of KUDU, the minister delved deep into the brand’s 36-year journey in the industry, marvelling at its unique ability to blend high quality with mouth-watering taste.
The visit wasn’t just a casual stroll through the restaurant; it was a glimpse into KUDU’s ambitious plans. The focus? Expanding business horizons and venturing into the Malaysian market with an all-Saudi brand. Known for its fresh-to-order meals, operational excellence, and customer-centric approach, KUDU is set to make waves in Malaysia through strategic franchising partnerships with top-tier companies in the field. And guess who’s on board to make it happen? That’s right, the minister and his delegation are all hands on deck to pave the way for this exciting collaboration, strengthening ties between the two countries through joint investments.
With the minister’s support, KUDU is gearing up for strategic master franchising partnerships with established food and beverage players, setting the stage for a grand entrance into the Malaysian market.
Greeted by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Rakan Al-Rashid, the minister and his team were welcomed with open arms. Al-Rashid emphasized the significance of KUDU’s venture into Malaysia, a vibrant hub for investments and tourism in Southeast Asia. The goal? To foster mutual cooperation and empower Malaysian F&B companies to tap into KUDU’s expertise, opening doors for them to enter the Saudi market and vice versa, creating a thriving trade environment between the two nations.
Al-Rashid highlighted a key driver behind KUDU’s Malaysian expansion – the influx of Malaysian visitors to their branches in Makkah, Madinah, and Jeddah, particularly during Umrah and Hajj seasons. Their fondness for KUDU’s delectable dishes sparked the idea to bring the brand to Malaysia, serving up the same culinary delights that won over their hearts in Saudi Arabia. Malaysia, in Al-Rashid’s words, is the gateway to a plethora of Asian markets awaiting KUDU’s magic touch.
