The Tragic Death of Mohammed Al-Qassim
In a devastating turn of events, 20-year-old Mohammed Al-Qassim was fatally stabbed on Friday, Aug. 1 evening in a park south of Cambridge. Al-Qassim, who had been in Cambridge for a 10-week study assignment, met his untimely death after sustaining a single stab wound to the neck, measuring a harrowing 11.5 centimeters deep. Hailing from Makkah, Al-Qassim tragically passed away on the scene. His body was later repatriated to Saudi Arabia, where he was laid to rest in Makkah after funeral prayers at the Grand Mosque.
