Shocking discovery: Mosque utilities misused during inspection

Ministry Cracks Down on Electricity Theft in Commercial Buildings

The regulatory teams of the ministry have uncovered a shocking case of electricity theft in a commercial tower. This illegal operation involved connecting the tower to seven electricity meters registered under the ministry’s name. The stolen electricity was used to power various rented shops and services, including elevators.

But that’s not all. The ministry’s investigation also revealed further infringements in a commercial complex. Here, electricity that was supposed to be designated for a mosque was being diverted for other purposes. Additionally, utilities meant for the women’s prayer area within the mosque were also being misused.

In a particularly egregious violation, a mosque’s meter was found to be supplying power to a rented commercial building owned by a company. The ministry wasted no time in taking action. Maintenance teams were dispatched immediately to remove these illegal connections and to ensure that precautions were put in place to prevent similar violations in the future.
