Nissan Formula E Team Shines at Monaco E-Prix

In a thrilling display of high-intensity racing and strategic brilliance, the Nissan Formula E Team delivered a standout performance at the Monaco E-Prix, securing a podium finish amidst fierce competition.

Oliver Rowland emerged as the star of the Monaco E-Prix weekend, clinching victory in Saturday’s race and claiming pole position before finishing a close second on Sunday. Starting from second on the grid in Sunday’s race, Rowland showcased his skill by taking the lead before the halfway mark, utilizing his Attack Mode boosts to full effect and executing crucial overtakes in the later stages to secure his third win of the season.

Meanwhile, teammate Norman Nato showcased his determination by climbing from 18th to 14th, displaying consistent pace in challenging conditions. These impressive results not only bolstered Rowland’s position in the championship standings but also solidified Nissan’s position in the teams’ battle.

Prior to the main races, Rowland demonstrated his prowess in wet conditions, earning his first pole position of the season and finishing second in a chaotic race. Despite facing tough competition, Rowland strategically utilized Attack Mode to defend his podium position, extending his lead in the Drivers’ Championship to 48 points. Nato also made strides in his home race, moving up from 15th to 13th. With Nissan retaining second place in the Teams’ Championship and leading the Manufacturers’ standings, all eyes are now on their upcoming home event, the Tokyo E-Prix on May 17-18.

Reflecting on his success, Oliver Rowland of the Nissan Formula E Team remarked, “It doesn’t get much better than first and second in Monaco! Yesterday, we timed our strategies perfectly for the win. Today, second place is still a great result, following a strong weekend with a victory and pole position.
