Massive Russian Aerial Attack on Ukraine! Biggest Since July

Russia Launches Heaviest Aerial Attack on Ukraine Since July

As US President Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders at the White House, Russia launched its most intense aerial assault on Ukraine since July.

Devastating Aerial Attack

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched 270 drones and 10 missiles overnight, marking the largest aerial attack on Ukraine since July 31. Despite Ukraine’s air defenses, four missiles and 16 drones managed to slip through, resulting in the death of eight people and injuring 54 others.

Civilian Casualties

The attacks targeted towns behind the front lines in the Donetsk region, resulting in the deaths of five individuals. Additionally, three people were killed and 33 were wounded in Russian strikes on the city of Zaporizhzhia. Civilians in Kharkiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Nikopol were also wounded in the attacks.

Impact on Infrastructure

Over 1,400 households and 119 businesses lost power in the Poltava region following a “massive attack” by Russia. The regional military administrator, Volodymyr Kohut, described the assault as severe.

Ukrainian Response

Despite a desire for peace, Ukrainian lawmaker Inna Sovsun expressed skepticism towards Russian President Vladimir Putin’s intentions in peace talks. She emphasized the need for tangible support from the US and Europe, including peacekeeping missions on the ground.

Call for Ceasefire

European leaders, including Zelensky, view a ceasefire as a crucial step towards ending the conflict. However, US President Trump is focused on securing a peace deal, a stance supported by the Kremlin.
