Lulu Expands its Presence in Makkah with New Hypermarket in Al Rusayfah
In a bold move following the opening of new stores in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, Lulu has now unveiled its latest hypermarket in Al Rusayfah, situated on Abdullah Areef St., Al Rusayfah District in Makkah. This strategic expansion underscores Lulu’s unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch shopping experiences to both residents and visitors, all while lending support to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative.
Inauguration Ceremony Attended by Dignitaries
The inauguration of the new store was officiated by Abdullah Hanif, Secretary General of the Makkah Chamber, and Fahd Abdulrahman Al-Mutaz, Mayor of Rusayfah. The event also saw the presence of Ashraf Ali M.A., Executive Director of Lulu Group, and Shehim Mohammed, Director of Lulu KSA, alongside other distinguished dignitaries.
Modern Shopping Experience with Diverse Offerings
Spanning a total built-up area of approximately 200,000 square feet, the new Lulu store is meticulously designed to provide a seamless and contemporary shopping experience. It caters to the varied needs of customers with a carefully curated selection of daily essentials, fresh food, and departmental offerings, mirroring the offerings of other Lulu stores in Makkah and Madinah. The store also features an expansive 72-square-meter exclusive dining area, offering a cozy space for shoppers to relax and dine.
Regional Expansion and Digital Transformation
Expressing his delight at the expansion of Lulu’s presence in the Holy Cities, Ashraf Ali Musliyam, Executive Director of Lulu, highlighted the generation of more job opportunities and the bolstering of the local economy in Al Rusayfah. He announced plans to open over 45 new stores across the GCC within three years, including three in Madinah. As part of their growth strategy, Lulu is also undergoing a digital transformation to enhance the customer experience both online and in-store.
