The Nissan Formula E Team put on a spectacular show at its home race in Tokyo, with driver Oliver Rowland taking the spotlight by clinching a victory in Round 9 and a second-place finish in Round 8.

Rowland’s Championship Performance

Rowland’s performance over the weekend highlighted his championship pedigree, with a brilliant drive in Round 18 that saw him make a daring last-minute pass on reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche) to secure his fourth win of the season. This impressive feat followed a strong second-place finish in Round 8, where he navigated challenging rain-affected conditions after qualifying was canceled. Meanwhile, teammate Norman Nato showed promising pace in practice and qualifying but faced difficulties during the races, finishing 15th in both rounds.

Standings and Achievements

Rowland’s stellar performances have extended his lead in the Drivers’ Championship to a commanding 77 points, with 161 points in total from four wins and three second-place finishes in nine races. The Nissan Formula E Team now sits atop the Teams’ Standings with 172 points, while Nissan maintains its lead in the Manufacturers’ Championship with 225 points.
