Saudi Fashion Commission Announces Dates for Riyadh Fashion Week 2024
The Saudi Fashion Commission has officially declared that Riyadh Fashion Week will be held from October 14 to 18, 2024, at three iconic venues: Tuwaiq Palace, Digital City, and JAX District.
Emphasizing its status as a globally renowned fashion platform, the event will unite some of the industry’s leading figures, offering a thrilling blend of couture, evening wear, ready-to-wear, and streetwear.
The runway will feature debut collections from acclaimed designers like Adnan Akbar, Dar Alhanouf, Tima Abid, and Honayda.
Throughout the five-day celebration of creativity and fashion, attendees will be treated to an array of runway shows, exclusive brand presentations, and a specially curated showroom.
Buyers and fashion enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore the diversity of Saudi fashion, from streetwear brands like 1886 to avant-garde couture collections by emerging labels such as JUBB.
Building on the success of Riyadh Fashion Week’s inaugural edition in 2023 and the acclaimed Saudi 100 Brands showcase at Paris Fashion Week, Saudi Arabia is further establishing itself as a global fashion hub. This edition will showcase over 30 dynamic fashion houses, highlighting cross-cultural collaboration and innovation.
Burak Cakmak, CEO of the Fashion Commission, expressed his enthusiasm for the event’s role in elevating Saudi fashion. “Riyadh Fashion Week is leading the way in positioning Saudi Arabia as a vibrant hub for fashion and creativity. This event serves as a platform for nurturing local talent, sparking new opportunities in the fashion and retail sectors, and fostering engagement on both local and international levels. Through promoting cultural exchange, we are celebrating the diversity and innovation of Saudi designers while enhancing their influence on the global fashion stage.”
As the country continues to propel its fashion industry to new heights, Riyadh Fashion Week is set to be a must-attend event, blending tradition with modernity and showcasing the Kingdom’s commitment to making a mark on the international fashion scene. — SG
