Dar Al-Hekma University Sets Guinness World Record for Largest Disability Awareness Lesson
Dar Al-Hekma University has once again secured a spot in the Guinness World Records by organizing the largest disability awareness lesson in honor of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event took place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Prince Sultan Hall on the university campus and drew a crowd of 1,177 individuals.
The purpose of the event was to shine a spotlight on the challenges faced by individuals with special needs, both on a social and personal level. It aimed to raise awareness within the community, provide support for overcoming obstacles, and empower individuals to fully integrate into society, enabling them to make meaningful contributions.
In addition to hosting students from various schools, Dar Al-Hekma University’s initiative served to educate the community about the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and promote their successful integration into society. The participation of these schools played a crucial role in achieving the event’s objectives and underscoring its significance.
Dr. Abeer Al Doghaither, President of Dar Al-Hekma University, shared her thoughts on the event, stating:
