Breaking News: ‘Ketamine Queen’ Pleads Guilty in Matthew Perry Overdose!

Woman Pleads Guilty in Death of Friends Actor Matthew Perry

LOS ANGELES — In a shocking turn of events, the woman known as the “Ketamine Queen” has agreed to plead guilty to charges related to selling drugs that ultimately led to the death of beloved Friends actor, Matthew Perry.

At 42 years old, Jasveen Sangha will plead guilty to five charges in Los Angeles, including distributing ketamine resulting in death or bodily injury, as confirmed by the Justice Department.

This American-British dual-national was initially facing nine criminal counts, with federal prosecutors describing her Los Angeles residence as a “drug-selling emporium” where dozens of vials of ketamine were found during a raid.

Tragically, Perry was discovered dead in a back yard jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home in October 2023, with an examination revealing his death was caused by the acute effects of ketamine.

Sangha is among five individuals, including medical doctors and the actor’s assistant, who US officials claim supplied ketamine to Perry, exploiting his drug addiction for profit and ultimately leading to his overdose death.

The others involved include Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Dr. Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Eric Fleming, all of whom have also agreed to plead guilty to charges in the case.

As part of the agreement with federal authorities, Sangha is expected to appear in federal court in the near future to formally enter her guilty plea.

With a maximum sentence of 65 years in federal prison looming, Sangha faces serious consequences for her actions involving the dangerous drug ketamine.

According to the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), ketamine is a dissociative anaesthetic with hallucinogenic effects, distorting perception and leaving users feeling disconnected and out of control.

The investigation into Perry’s death shed light on Hollywood’s ketamine drug network, described by one doctor as the “wild west” in an interview with the BBC.

Additionally, Sangha’s plea agreement includes admitting to selling ketamine to another individual who tragically died from a drug overdose shortly after the purchase in August 2019.

Authorities have accused Sangha of operating a “stash house” in North Hollywood since at least 2019, where she allegedly worked with celebrities and high-end clients to distribute drugs.

With the discovery of more than 80 vials of ketamine and various other illicit substances in her possession, Sangha’s arrest in March 2024 shed light on her alleged criminal activities.

Known for her extravagant lifestyle and social media presence depicting lavish parties and international trips, Sangha’s connection to Hollywood’s elite has come under scrutiny in the wake of these troubling revelations. —BBC
