Riyadh Meeting Between Saudi and Japanese Ministers to Boost Digital Transformation
RIYADH — Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawaha engaged in a high-level meeting with the Japanese Minister of Digital Transformation, Taro Kono and his delegation on Sunday in Jeddah.
The discussion revolved around the expansion of investment opportunities in the digital realm, aimed at bolstering the growth of the digital economy and fostering innovation.
Both parties took stock of their collaborative efforts in several digital projects and joint initiatives under the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030. They also outlined plans to expedite the integration of cutting-edge technologies in digital government services.
The agenda further included the localization of research and development centers and the promotion of partnerships between the two nations to enhance capabilities and cultivate a robust economy that fuels innovation.
