The Grand Opening of Hyundai Heavy Industries Turbomachinery in Al Khobar

In a dazzling ceremony held on May 30 at the Mövenpick Hotel in Al Khobar, Hyundai Heavy Industries Turbomachinery unveiled its latest venture.

Hyundai Heavy Industries Turbomachinery, a key player in the turbo machinery sector globally, is known for producing a wide range of industrial and marine equipment, including pumps, centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and cryogenic pumps. These products cater to various sectors such as offshore oil and gas facilities, power generation, desalination, and petrochemical plants.

The grand opening marked the establishment of a new joint venture between Hyundai Heavy Industries Turbomachinery and Supply and Support Service Systems Co. Ltd (4S), a leading technology and engineering company in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

The event was attended by distinguished guests from the Ministry of Energy, ARAMCO, SEC, SWCC, EPC customers, and other partners. CEO Dong Soo Kim expressed his excitement for the future, stating, “This milestone aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, focusing on economic diversification and industrial advancement through innovative partnerships and technology.”

With plans to produce equipment locally under the ‘MADE IN SAUDI’ initiative, Hyundai Heavy Industries Turbomachinery L.L.C in KSA aims to become a strategic service provider offering on-site services, re-engineering, repair, retrofit, and training.

General Manager John JK Park highlighted the importance of establishing a subsidiary in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the commitment to providing comprehensive services. Partner Abdulaziz Almoushegah praised the joint venture for supporting Saudi Vision 2030 and promoting local manufacturing.

HHI-TMC and 4S are focused on expanding service capabilities, boosting product sales in the Middle East, and contributing to eco-friendly solutions for carbon neutrality. The partnership also aims to enhance the ‘Made in Saudi Program’ through the production of pumps and compressors locally.

CEO Dong Soo Kim emphasized the significance of partnerships with 4S, stating, “These collaborations go beyond business; they symbolize a dedication to innovation and growth. Our goal is to build a new business model that drives innovation and customer satisfaction.”
