In a momentous occasion, Sultan Al Marshid, the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, officially opened the doors of the National Cancer Hospital in Mauritius. This state-of-the-art facility was made possible through a generous $25 million loan provided by the fund.

The unveiling of this new hospital marks a significant milestone in the healthcare landscape of Mauritius. With 220 hospital beds and sprawling across 21,000 square meters, it is poised to elevate the standards of healthcare for cancer patients in the region.

Over the years, the Saudi Fund for Development has been a key partner in Mauritius’ development journey. With seven previous projects financed through loans totaling $228 million, the fund remains committed to supporting the sustainable growth of developing countries worldwide. — SG
