LuLu’s Saudi Mango Festival Shines Spotlight on Local Varieties
The golden spotlight is on the sweet varieties of mango grown in Saudi Arabia as LuLu’s Saudi Mango Festival takes center stage. With twenty-four local varieties of Saudi mango on display, the aisles of the Festival at all the Lulu Hypermarket outlets across Saudi Arabia are bursting with flavor.
Inauguration Across the Kingdom
The LuLu Saudi Mango Festival 2024 kicked off with grand inaugurations at three Lulu Hypermarkets across the Kingdom. In Atyaf Mall, Riyadh, Eng. Muhammad Al-Abdullatif and M. Suleiman bin Saleh Al-Jutaili presided over the event. In LuLu Al-Ruwais, Jeddah, the inauguration was led by Engineer Majid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa and Engineer Walid Al-Daghis. The Dammam’s Al-Shatea Al-Sharqi District LuLu Hypermarket saw the Festival inaugurated by Engineer Fahd bin Ahmed Al-Hamzi.
Promoting Saudi Agricultural Products
The Festival is part of a long-term programme to promote Saudi agricultural products and support Saudi farmers. Running until 7 May, shoppers can indulge in the juicy goodness of Saudi mango varieties like Mango Sudani, Baladi, Zill, Thoomi, and Keeth, among others. The Festival also features popular varieties from other countries that have been grafted and cultivated in Saudi soil.
Celebrating Mango in Various Forms
The Saudi Mango Festival 2024 showcases mangoes in various forms – ripe and raw, cooked, salted, or spiced. From desserts to curries, pickles to smoothies, there is something for every mango lover. Promotions and treats in the Lulu Hot Food and Cold Food section include mango fish curry, mango chicken curry, stuffed chicken breasts, Aamras, puri bread, and healthy smoothies.
