Australian Police on the Hunt for Home and Away Star Orpheus Pledger
In a dramatic turn of events, Australian police are currently in search of Home and Away actor Orpheus Pledger, following a warrant issued for his arrest earlier this week.
The talented star is facing a total of four charges related to an alleged assault on a woman, as confirmed by authorities.
Despite being granted bail for a court-ordered hospital assessment just days ago, Pledger failed to show up for his scheduled appearance in a Melbourne court, igniting a media frenzy and sparking a manhunt.
Described as “approximately 170cm [5ft 7in] tall with brown hair and tanned complexion” in a public notice by Victoria Police, Pledger is said to frequent the inner-city Melbourne suburb of Northcote and its surrounding areas.
Authorities have released a current image of Pledger in hopes that the public can provide information on his whereabouts.
Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, Pledger’s manager, Craig McMahon, expressed shock at the assault allegations and revealed that the actor had been dealing with mental health issues.
Having joined the cast of Home and Away in 2016, portraying the character Mason Morgan for three years, Pledger has also appeared on Neighbours, Silversun, and CrashBurn.
Pledger is scheduled to appear in court once again on 10 May. — BBC
