Trump Threatens George Soros with Racketeering Charges
In a bold move, US President Donald Trump has taken to his social media platform Truth Social to threaten 95-year-old billionaire George Soros and his son with charges of racketeering.
Trump’s post on Wednesday accused Soros and his son of supporting Violent Protests across the United States and called for them to be charged under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) law, typically used to prosecute criminal organizations.
Despite the strong allegations, Trump did not provide any evidence to support his claims, leaving many questioning the validity of his statements and whether Soros is actually under investigation.
Describing Soros and his organization as “radical left-wing psychopaths”, Trump continued to fuel the ongoing feud between himself and the billionaire philanthropist, known for his donations through the Open Society Foundations (OSF) and support for the Democratic Party.
This latest attack is part of a pattern, with Trump and his supporters frequently accusing Soros of manipulating events, such as orchestrating a migration crisis in the country.
