Violence Erupts in Brussels After Pro-Palestinian Demonstration

In a shocking turn of events, a person has been brutally stabbed following a pro-Palestinian demonstration in central Brussels on Sunday evening. According to local media reports, the victim is currently in critical condition as a result of the attack. The Brussels Capital Ixelles police zone has confirmed the stabbing incident in the heart of the capital.

Ilse Van de Keere, spokesperson for the Brussels Capital Ixelles police zone, revealed to Het Laatste Nieuws that “One person was taken to hospital in critical condition. A suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.”

Prior to the violent outburst, dozens of individuals had gathered at Zaterdagplein, located near the popular tourist destination of Place Saint Catherine, to express their solidarity with Gaza.

Organizers of the demonstration swiftly condemned the attack in a press release, stating that “an unidentified individual, who had no affiliation with the event, infiltrated the crowd and launched an assault on peaceful protesters.”

The motives behind the brutal attack remain unclear at this time, leaving many questions unanswered. The victim was rushed to the hospital in a life-threatening condition following the vicious assault.
