Riyadh Hosts Inaugural PaperBack – Art Book Fair

RIYADH — Get ready for a cultural extravaganza as the Diriyah Biennale Foundation gears up to host the first-ever edition of the PaperBack – Art Book Fair at the vibrant JAX District in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

This eagerly anticipated event, taking place from November 1–3, 2024, will be a melting pot of creativity, attracting professionals, collectors, art enthusiasts, and inquisitive minds from across the globe.

Featuring a lineup of 25 artists and collectives, independent presses, booksellers, zine makers, publishers, cultural organizations, and academic institutions, the fair promises a diverse and stimulating experience for all attendees.

Representatives from 16 countries, such as China, Egypt, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Switzerland, the UAE, and the UK, will come together for this cultural exchange.

Notable participants include Brownbook magazine, a well-known cultural platform from the Gulf; the Cairo Art Book Fair; Set Margins, a publication from the Netherlands; 51 Personae, a collaborative publishing project from China; Kaph Books from Lebanon, specializing in art books from the Arab world; and Japan’s shashasha, an online hub for photo and art books. — SG
