Empowering Saudi Women: L’Oréal Summit in Jeddah drives sustainable growth

L’Oréal Saudi Arabia Empowers Saudi Women and Advances Sustainability in Beauty Industry

The beauty industry in Saudi Arabia is undergoing a transformative shift, thanks to the efforts of L’Oréal Saudi Arabia. On April 24, the company inaugurated its groundbreaking L’Oréal for the Future Summit in Jeddah, reaffirming its commitment to empowering Saudi women and advancing sustainability within the Kingdom’s beauty industry.

Building a More Inclusive and Responsible Future

The summit brought together a diverse group of stakeholders including government officials, sustainability experts, environmentalists, and industry leaders. The goal was to exchange knowledge and insights on building a more inclusive and responsible future for the sector.

Professional Certification Program for Hairdressers

One of the key highlights of the summit was the formal launch of the professional certification program for hairdressers under the L’Oréal Professional Hairdressing Academy. This milestone signifies a significant advancement in establishing industry standards across Saudi Arabia.

Empowering Local Talent

L’Oréal’s dedication to empowering local talent is evident through initiatives like the certification program. The company aims to certify over 300 hairdressers by the end of 2025, with plans to increase that number by more than 360% over the next five years.

Creating Opportunities for Women

By partnering with the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF) and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), L’Oréal is creating new opportunities for women to enhance their skills and contribute to the growth of the beauty sector in line with national priorities.

Championing Sustainability

L’Oréal’s sustainability initiatives are also making a tangible impact in the Kingdom. Collaborations with organizations like Naqaa Solutions and Panda have led to successful recycling campaigns that have recycled 340 tons of waste in Saudi Arabia. The company is also promoting the use of refillable products to reduce material consumption.

A Purpose-Led Beauty Industry

L’Oréal remains committed to driving a purpose-led beauty industry that aligns with the Kingdom’s vision for a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable future. The L’Oréal for the Future Summit is just the beginning of the company’s efforts to empower Saudi women and create a more sustainable beauty sector in the Kingdom.
